This past weekend Luna and I headed back to the Zoom Room in Monterey, Bay to have another go around on their agility equipment. This time we met up with two other Goldens – both male and very large – and one standard poodle. This meet up had two purposes. One: to give Luna a chance to socialize with dogs her own size while off leash. Two: to see if Luna would again surprise me with her willingness to go on the equipment.
Well, just like last time, Luna again gave me the opportunity to swallow any pre conceived notions I had about her fearfulness around the equipment. She worked with A-Frame, ran through the weaves, jumped over bars, sat still on wobbly platforms, and of course socialized like a rock star! I am obviously not giving this dog enough credit, and I feel badly for doing so. You can count on us taking every possible opportunity to meet up at the Zoom Room. I can tell that these meet ups are going to be great confidence boosters for the both of us!
